  1. WHAT THIS WARRANTY COVERS

When a product covered by this warranty is determined by KITCHEN WHOLESALE to have a manufacturing or material defect during the applicable warranty period, KITCHEN WHOLESALE may, at its reasonable discretion:

  1. repair the defective product or component;
  2. replace the defective product or component with the same or an equivalent product; or
  3. provide another reasonable warranty remedy where required by applicable law.

Replacement products or components may differ slightly in colour, texture, grain, sheen, pattern, or appearance from the original product due to product updates, manufacturing variations, discontinued products, natural aging, lighting, and material variation.

KITCHEN WHOLESALE does not guarantee that replacement components will be an exact visual match to existing components.

  1. DISCONTINUED PRODUCTS

If a product, finish, colour, style, construction method, hardware component, or countertop pattern covered by this warranty has been discontinued or is no longer available when a warranty claim is made, KITCHEN WHOLESALE may replace the affected component with:

  • the same product, if available;
  • a current product of equal or comparable value; or
  • another reasonable equivalent product intended to provide a substantially similar appearance and function.

Exact colour, grain, pattern, sheen, or finish matching cannot be guaranteed for discontinued products or products installed for an extended period of time.

  • Improper use, misuse, abuse, negligence, or carelessness

  • Steam or excessive moisture
  • Excessive humidity or prolonged exposure to conditions outside normal household environmental conditions
  • Excessive heat, direct contact with hot cookware, heat-producing appliances, or thermal shock
  • Direct or prolonged exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet light
  • Fire, smoke, natural disasters, or other events beyond KITCHEN WHOLESALE’s reasonable control
  • Structural movement, settling, shifting, foundation movement, or movement of the walls, floor, cabinets, or supporting structures

  • Normal wear and tear

  1. CABINET-SPECIFIC EXCLUSIONS

Cabinet products are intended for normal indoor residential use.

The cabinet warranty does not cover:

  • swelling, delamination, warping, or deterioration caused by water or excessive moisture;
  • damage caused by plumbing leaks or appliance leaks;
  • damage caused by steam or excessive heat;
  • discoloration caused by direct sunlight or excessive heat;
  • damage caused by improper cleaning products;
  • damage caused by excessive humidity;
  • damage caused by cabinets being moved from their original installed location;
  • damage resulting from modifications, alterations, or field fabrication not approved by KITCHEN WHOLESALE.

Cabinets should not be exposed to prolonged moisture or water. Water should be cleaned up promptly.

  1. DOORS, DRAWER FRONTS, AND FINISHES

Doors and drawer fronts are covered against defects in materials and workmanship for the applicable warranty period.

The warranty does not cover:

  • normal colour variation;
  • normal changes in colour caused by aging;
  • colour changes caused by sunlight or artificial lighting;
  • normal variation in wood grain, texture, mineral marks, knots, or other characteristics of natural wood;
  • minor variations between display samples, samples, replacement components, and installed products;
  • damage caused by excessive heat, steam, moisture, water, impact, or improper cleaning;
  • scratches, dents, chips, or other damage caused after installation.

Natural wood is a material that can change in colour and appearance over time. Such changes are considered normal characteristics of the material and are not manufacturing defects.

  1. HARDWARE AND DRAWER SYSTEMS

Hinges, drawer glides, drawer components, adjustable legs, and soft-close mechanisms supplied by KITCHEN WHOLESALE are covered for 5 years against defects in materials and workmanship.

The warranty does not cover hardware failure resulting from:

  • overloading;
  • improper adjustment;
  • impact or forced operation;
  • misuse;
  • unauthorized modification;
  • installation or adjustment by persons not authorized by KITCHEN WHOLESALE;
  • normal wear and tear.

Minor adjustment of doors and drawers that occurs through normal household use does not, by itself, constitute a warranty defect.

  1. QUARTZ COUNTERTOP WARRANTY

Quartz countertops supplied by KITCHEN WHOLESALE are covered for 1 year against defects in the countertop material and fabrication supplied by KITCHEN WHOLESALE.

The quartz countertop warranty does not cover:

  • chips, cracks, fractures, or other impact damage;
  • scratches caused by improper use;
  • damage caused by excessive or direct heat;
  • thermal shock or sudden temperature changes;
  • placing hot cookware or heat-producing appliances directly on the surface;
  • damage caused by improper support or movement of the cabinetry or substrate;
  • damage caused by structural movement, settling, or shifting of the building or cabinets;
  • damage caused by improper installation, fabrication, handling, or modification;
  • damage caused by excessive force applied to an unsupported area;
  • damage caused by cutting directly on the countertop;
  • stains or surface conditions that can reasonably be removed through proper cleaning and maintenance;
  • damage caused by chemicals or unsuitable cleaning products;
  • damage resulting from misuse, abuse, or negligence;
  • damage caused by water leaks, flooding, plumbing failures, or moisture entering seams, joints, cabinetry, or the supporting structure.

Quartz is highly resistant to normal household moisture, but this does not make surrounding cabinetry, seams, supports, adhesives, or other components waterproof.

The use of cutting boards, trivets, and appropriate care practices is required.

  1. LAMINATE COUNTERTOP WARRANTY

Laminate countertops supplied by KITCHEN WHOLESALE are covered for 1 year against defects in materials and workmanship.

The laminate countertop warranty does not cover:

  • burns or heat damage;
  • exposure to excessive or direct heat;
  • placing hot cookware directly on the countertop;
  • cuts, scratches, chips, gouges, or other physical damage;
  • damage caused by standing water or prolonged exposure to moisture;
  • water penetration into seams, joints, edges, or substrate;
  • swelling or deterioration of the countertop substrate caused by moisture;
  • damage caused by improper installation, fabrication, handling, or modification;
  • damage caused by improper cleaning products;
  • damage caused by impact, misuse, abuse, or negligence;
  • damage caused by excessive force or inadequate support;
  • normal wear and tear.

Particular care must be taken around sinks, faucets, seams, exposed edges, dishwashers, and other areas where water or steam may accumulate.

Any water should be wiped up promptly and should not be allowed to remain on seams or exposed edges for extended periods.

  1. MOISTURE, WATER, AND PLUMBING DAMAGE

KITCHEN WHOLESALE products are not warranted against damage caused by water or moisture originating from sources outside the product’s manufacturing defect.

Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • leaking or overflowing sinks;
  • leaking faucets;
  • leaking supply lines;
  • leaking dishwashers;
  • leaking refrigerators or ice makers;
  • plumbing failures;
  • standing water;
  • flooding;
  • excessive steam;
  • water entering seams, joints, edges, cabinets, or supporting structures;
  • moisture from improperly sealed countertops or plumbing fixtures;
  • prolonged exposure to excessive humidity.

The customer is responsible for promptly addressing leaks, water intrusion, plumbing problems, and other environmental conditions that may damage cabinetry or countertops.

  1. HEAT AND THERMAL DAMAGE

Damage resulting from excessive heat is not covered by this warranty.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • direct contact with hot cookware;
  • hot pots, pans, baking trays, or appliances placed directly on countertops;
  • excessive heat from ovens, ranges, cooktops, or other appliances;
  • heat trapped between appliances and cabinet components;
  • thermal shock;
  • prolonged exposure to steam or high temperatures.

Appropriate heat protection, ventilation, and manufacturer-recommended clearances must be maintained.

  1. HUMIDITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

KITCHEN WHOLESALE cabinetry and countertops are intended for normal indoor residential environments.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by excessively humid or excessively dry conditions, prolonged moisture exposure, condensation, or other abnormal environmental conditions.

Normal household relative humidity should generally be maintained within 20% to 50% where reasonably practicable.

Damage caused by environmental conditions outside normal household conditions is not considered a manufacturing defect.

  1. NATURAL AND COSMETIC VARIATIONS

Variations in colour, grain, texture, pattern, sheen, and appearance may occur naturally or as a result of manufacturing processes.

These variations are not considered defects where they are consistent with the characteristics of the selected material.

For natural wood products, variations may include:

  • differences in grain;
  • colour variation;
  • mineral marks;
  • knots and natural markings;
  • changes in colour as the wood ages;
  • differences caused by lighting or surrounding colours.

For quartz, laminate, painted, thermofoil, melamine, and other manufactured finishes, minor differences may occur between samples, displays, production batches, replacement parts, and installed products.

Such variations do not constitute a warranty defect unless they are determined by KITCHEN WHOLESALE to represent a manufacturing defect.

  1. INSTALLATION AND THIRD-PARTY WORK

This warranty does not cover damage caused by installation, plumbing, electrical work, demolition, construction, structural work, appliance installation, or other work performed by persons or companies not authorized by KITCHEN WHOLESALE.

The warranty also does not cover damage caused by subsequent work performed after KITCHEN WHOLESALE has completed the installation.

Where KITCHEN WHOLESALE provides installation services, issues relating specifically to installation workmanship will be reviewed separately from product warranty claims.

  1. WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE

To submit a warranty claim, the original purchaser must contact KITCHEN WHOLESALE and provide:

  • Proof of purchase or the original KITCHEN WHOLESALE invoice
  • The customer’s name and contact information
  • The installation or project address
  • A description of the issue
  • Photographs and/or videos showing the claimed defect when requested
  • Any other information reasonably required to evaluate the claim

KITCHEN WHOLESALE may request an inspection of the product before approving a warranty claim.

The customer must provide reasonable access to the affected product when an inspection or service visit is required.

A warranty claim does not automatically establish that a product is defective. KITCHEN WHOLESALE will determine whether the reported condition falls within the applicable warranty coverage.

  1. WARRANTY REMEDY

When KITCHEN WHOLESALE determines that a claim is covered under this warranty, KITCHEN WHOLESALE will determine the appropriate remedy based on the nature of the defect.

Where reasonably practical, the preferred remedy will be repair or replacement of the defective component.

Replacement components may be of equal or comparable value where the original product, finish, colour, style, or model is no longer available.

The replacement of one component does not extend the original warranty period of the entire product or project. The replacement component will remain subject to the original applicable warranty period.

  1. LABOUR, REMOVAL, AND RELATED COSTS

Unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly agreed to in writing, this Limited Warranty applies to the covered product or component and does not automatically cover:

  • removal of defective products;
  • disposal of defective products;
  • reinstallation;
  • transportation;
  • moving appliances or personal property;
  • plumbing or electrical work;
  • construction or repair of walls, floors, or supporting structures;
  • costs caused by third-party contractors;
  • other incidental expenses.

Where KITCHEN WHOLESALE determines that labour or related service is required as part of a covered warranty remedy, the extent of such service will be determined by KITCHEN WHOLESALE based on the circumstances of the claim.

  1. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, KITCHEN WHOLESALE will not be responsible for incidental, indirect, special, or consequential losses arising from a warranty claim, including loss of use, inconvenience, loss of time, or other indirect costs.

Nothing in this Limited Warranty excludes or limits any consumer rights, conditions, warranties, or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
